Bayou X

Downhome Music From the Bayou & Beyond

Bayou X is something new & different on the New England Cajun/Zydeco dance scene, performing both original and traditional Cajun & Zydeco dance music of southwest Louisiana, as well as traditional and original music derived from the global Creole diaspora, including New Orleans R&B, Haitian Konpa & Twoubadou, Beguine & Kwadril of Martinique, Guadeloupe & St Lucia, Trinidadian calypso, West African Hi-Life, and more. Featuring New Orleans native Peter Simoneaux on fiddle & vocals and spouse/partner Linda Simoneaux on accordions & vocals, core members of Bayou X include Daniel Kasnitz on electric bass & guitars, Lucas Houk on electric guitar, keyboards & electric bass, Bob Everingham on electric & acoustic guitars, bass & banjo, and Bob DeSena on drums. Bayou X also maintains an extensive, revolving list of special collaborators including Julian Gerstin, Bonnie Anderson, and Sharon Leslie on percussion, and Chris Miller and Bruce Elliot on saxophones.

Our new CD, Your Mother Must Be... Something Special, was officially released on March 3, 2018, and is now available for purchase on CD Baby, and on this website!
